Current SEAI grant position
The stored Heating Controls Individual Grant amount is up to €700 for each dwelling type. The potential amount is subject to the current SEAI conditions and is not guaranteed.
The existing grant record notes that standalone heating-controls support is not available where the homeowner is applying for, or has previously claimed, a heat-pump system grant. Confirm the current rules with the official SEAI heating-upgrade information.
What heating controls do
Controls can coordinate timers, thermostats, zones and temperature settings so different parts of a home are heated when needed. The right arrangement depends on the boiler, heat source, hot-water system, wiring and the way the home is used.
Some homes may need zone valves, wiring changes, thermostatic radiator valves, sensors or commissioning. Compatibility should be checked rather than assumed, especially when controls are being considered alongside a heat pump or boiler replacement.
