Austin Technologies Ltd, trading as HomePlanIQ, is the controller for personal information processed in connection with this website and the calculator service. What the service does

The HomePlanIQ calculator asks for details about a property and planned works so it can produce an indicative estimate. No HomePlanIQ account is required to use the service. Your calculator answers are processed locally in your browser. They are not sent to a HomePlanIQ backend or stored by HomePlanIQ, and they are not persisted in localStorage or sessionStorage.

Categories of information processed

Information connected with the service falls broadly into the following categories:

• property and project details entered into the calculator, which are processed locally in your browser and are not received by HomePlanIQ
• technical information generated by website requests and hosting or security infrastructure, such as request metadata, server logs, security logs and basic service-operation records
• correspondence sent to info@homeplaniq.ie, including enquiry content and any contact details supplied in the message

Calculator information

Your calculator answers are processed locally in your browser. They are not sent to a HomePlanIQ backend or stored by HomePlanIQ. The application does not persist them in localStorage or sessionStorage, and the temporary calculator state is cleared when you refresh or restart the calculator. The application has no analytics, advertising or behavioural-tracking tools.

Providing calculator information is optional where the user chooses not to enter a field or not to use the service. The service does not require a user to provide personal information to generate an estimate.

Technical request and security information

Website hosting and security infrastructure may generate routine technical information when the site is accessed or protected. This can include basic request metadata, IP addresses, timestamps, the information requested, security events, error records and service-availability records. The exact details and retention periods depend on the hosting and security configuration used to operate the website. HomePlanIQ does not use this technical information to receive or store calculator answers.

Correspondence to HomePlanIQ

Messages sent to info@homeplaniq.ie may contain personal information you choose to provide, such as name, email address, project details or a summary of your enquiry. This is used only to respond to the enquiry and manage the contact.

Purposes of processing

HomePlanIQ processes information to:

• provide the calculator, estimate and project-planning functionality
• operate, secure and maintain the website

Lawful bases

Calculator answers are not sent to these providers by the application. Public links may direct users to other websites with their own privacy terms.

Retention and deletion

Because HomePlanIQ does not receive calculator answers, there is no HomePlanIQ calculator record to retain or delete. Technical records and correspondence are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which they were collected, such as operating the site, investigating a security matter or responding to a query, and where required by law.
